Director General of Bureau of Indian Standards
Presently, he is serving as an Additional Secretary in
Department of Food and Public Distribution.
v Archana Ramasundaram appointed as Director of
National Crime Records Bureau
Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet on 17 June 2015
approved her posting to NCRB by curtailing her tenure as Additional Director of
the CBI, New Delhi.
v Narendra Kumar Yadav took charge as Chairman
and Managing Director of MTNL
Yadav succeeded PK Purwar, who was given additional charge of
the post after company’s CMD AK Garg retired on 30 May 2014

v Prof S Bandyopadhayay appointed as Director of
Indian Statistical Institute (ISI)
She replaced Dr Bimal K Roy who was removed on charges of
indiscipline by the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation
(MOSPI).
v Dr. Srivari Chandrasekhar appointed as Director
of CSIR-IICT
The appointment was made by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
who is President of the CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research).
v Vijai Sharma appointed as Chief Information
Commissioner of India
Prior to this appointment, he was serving as an Information
Commissioner in Central Information Commission since 2012.

National Security Guard
Prior to this appointment, Tayal was serving as the Special
Director General (DG) in paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Envoy on Countering Terrorism and Extremism
In this new capacity, he will liaise with governments in West
Asia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and South East Asia, among others, in setting up
channels for the exchange of intelligence and information on terror groups.

Being a Flag officer, he has commanded the 1241 RE corvette, INS

Director of RBI
As an ED, She will look after Department of Banking Supervision,
Department of Co-operative Banking Supervision and Department of Non-Banking
Supervision.

He became the 5th President of the country by defeating the
incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan in the March 2015 general election.
v Former Singapore Foreign Minister George Yeo
appointed as Chancellor of Nalanda University
Yeo
succeeds the Nobel laureate Amartya Sen, who withdrew his candidature for a
second term as Chancellor of the Nalanda University in February 2015.

v Justice Gian Parkash Mittal resigned from the
Office of the Judge of Delhi High Court
Mittal tendered his resignation from the office of the Judge of
Delhi High Court, in pursuance of provision (a) to clause (1) of article 217 of
the Indian Constitution.
v Said Djinnit, UN envoy to Burundi crisis,
stepped down as mediator
Till date, Djinnit was hosting talks between the governing party
and those who do not want President Pierre Nkurunziza to stand for re-election.
v Sepp Blatter resigned as FIFA president amid
corruption scandal
Blatter,
who was re-elected as FIFA president on 29 May 2015, will exercise his
functions as FIFA president until an election is held.
