Reasoning Quiz - RRB 2015


Syllogism
In each of the following questions two statements are given and these statements are followed by two conclusions numbered (1) and (2). You have to take the given two statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the two given statements, disregarding commonly known facts. Give answer:

1) if only conclusion I follows.
2) if only conclusion II follows.
3) if either conclusion I or conclusion II follows.
4) if neither conclusion I nor conclusion II follows.
5) if both conclusion I and conclusion II follow.


1.    Statements:
All TV are LCD.
Some LCD are LED.

Conclusions:
I.     Some LED are TV.
II.   All TV being LED is a possibility.



2.    Statements:
Some doors are window.
No window is a house.

Conclusion:
I.     All house being door is a possibility.
II.   At least some house is a window.



3.    Statements:
Some red are blue.
Some green are red.

Conclusions:
I.     Some green are blue.
II.   All green being blue is a possibility.




4.    Statements:
All  bronze are gold.
Some silver are gold.

Conclusions:
I.     Some bronze are silver.
II.   No bronze is a silver



5.    Statements:
Some men are women.
No women is child.

Conclusions:
I.     Some men being child is a possibility.
II.   Some child are women.



6.    Statements:
All gliders are parachutes.
No parachute is an airplane.
All airplanes are helicopters.

Conclusions:
I.     No helicopter is a glider.
II.   All parachutes being helicopters is a possibility



7.    Statements:
All gliders are parachutes.
No parachute is an airplane.
All airplanes are helicopters.

Conclusions:
I.     No glider is an airplane.
II.   All gliders being helicopters is a possibility.



8.    Statements: 
Some mails are chats.
All updates are chats
.
Conclusions:
I.     All mails being updates is a possibility.
II.   No update is a mail.



9.    Statements: 
No stone is metal.
Some metals are papers.
All papers are glass.

Conclusions:
I.     No glass is metal.
II.   At least some glasses are metals.



10. Statements: 
No stone is metal.
Some metals are papers.
All papers are glass.

Conclusions:
I.     All stones being glass is a possibility.

II.   No stone is paper.
