Call To Action Summit 2015 on ending preventable child and
maternal deaths held in New Delhi
The summit was a prelude to the United Nations Summit for the
adoption of post-2015 development agenda that will be held in September 2015 in
New York.
Second Round of Foreign Office Consultations between India and
Paraguay held
They also discussed important regional and multilateral issues
including India’s ongoing engagement with Community of Latin American Caribbean
States (CELAC), MERCOSUR and UN Reforms.
2015 United States-India Cyber Dialogue held in Washington, DC
The two sides discussed a range of cyber issues including cyber
threats, enhanced cyber security information sharing, cyber incident
management, cybersecurity cooperation in the context of 'Make in India'.
Committees
SM Khan-headed team constituted to assess situation in FTII by
Union Government
The three-member team will be headed by the Registrar of
Newspapers in India (RNI) SM Khan and comprise two more I&B Ministry
officials.
Workshop held to discuss Pam Rajput Committee’s recommendation
on Status of Women
The workshop discussed the recommendations under four groups
including Women and Economy; Women and Social Empowerment; Women, Media and
Information Technology; Women and Law and lastly, Institutional Mechanism and
Governance.
Union Cabinet approved setting up of Panagariya Committee to
classify Caste Census data, 2011
The expert group will be serviced by the Ministry of Social
Justice and Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Welfare.
